RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF WATER

 

The water level of the Waterdown dam has fallen to 56.79% and that of the Bonkolo dam to 26.9%. We therefore need to urge you to save water and want to leave you with the following:

 

  • The use of hosepipes using Municipal water supply is strictly prohibited.
  • Share and reuse bath water wherever possible.
  • Reduce shower times or use less bath water.
  • Rather shower than bath.
  • Do not leave taps running unnecessarily, such as when washing your hands or rinsing dishes.
  • Drink water from a cup, rather than from a running tap.
  • Report any leaks as soon as possible.

 

Please Adhere to the Following water times:

 

  • Domestic by buckets only                   4pm to 6pm Saterdays
  • Businesses by buckets only                 8am to 10am Fridays
  • Schools may use hosepipes                 8am to 10am Fridays

 

The use of hosepipes for washing of motor vehicles, boats, pathways and paved areas are strictly prohibited and pools may not be filled.
